It involves relationships with family, friends, nature, our bodies, our communities, and the world. Nutrition is concerned with the social, economic, cultural, and psychological implications of food and eating. Nutrients like “Carbohydrates, Protein, Fats, Fiber, Vitamins, and minerals and Fluids” in proportion to meet the requirements of the body.

Bariatric Diet

Proper counseling helps obese individuals realize that weight loss is a slow and gradual process that requires hard work and commitment. So, one should be strong and patient to follow the right weight loss plan.

Pre-Operative Diet

The preoperative diet should be followed for at least 2 weeks before surgery. The Diet helps to keep your muscle mass and to maintain good health before surgery.

Post-Operative Diet

The gastric capacity will call for dietary modifications, especially in the early postoperative phase. After the surgery, on the first post-operative day gastrografin (x-ray) study will be done. After bariatric surgery, (surgery done on the stomach and/or intestines), your body needs time to heal. So, the gradual progression of the diet plan is designed as five phases.
