COVID-19 on Obesity

     In 2020 after the COVID-19 PANDEMIC infections in India, On 24 March, the Government of India under Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi ordered a nationwide lockdown for 21 days, limiting movement of the entire 1.3 billion population of India as a preventive measure against the COVID-19 pandemic in India. It was ordered after a 14-hour voluntary public curfew on 22 March, followed by enforcement of a series of regulations in the country's COVID-19-affected regions. The lockdown was placed when the number of confirmed positive coronavirus cases in India was approximately 500. Observers stated that the lockdown had slowed the growth rate of the pandemic by 6 April to a rate of doubling every six days, and by 18 April, to a rate of doubling every eight days.

      People in India started worrying about the economy and the coronavirus, which made them lose consciousness about their health. due to the LOCKDOWN, people started losing their jobs and a sedentary life started to spoil their health where OBESITY took over and uncontrolled Diabetes.

          For people who are Overweight and Morbidly Obese, the infection ratio was doubled, so it increased the hospital duration stay or even Death. The rate Of Obesity started increasing those who are normal weight started putting weight 2-5kgs and those who are already overweight started putting doubled their weight.
